krispy wednesdAy semiNars
Wednesday, January 31, 2007//

i was at school at around 9:30 am, just in time to attend the youth leadership summit. when i entered yuchengco, senator francis pangilinan was delivering his speech. and i never forgot to take pictures and as well as videos.

the first seminar was all about how the youth can be an active catalyst of change. the second seminar was all about entrepreneurs as people who are eventually made, not born. among the two, i enjoyed the second because the speaker was interesting, ms. vivienne tan, the daughter of the business tycoon lucio tan.

after these seminars, camsie, reena and i went to krispy kreme. we didn't stay long because we still had 2 classes.

after the 2 classes, we attended a BPO seminar organized in yuchengco.

camille chiong's menu:

shark's fin
bird's nest soup

no wonder why species become extinct. for cats around, beware! hahaha!

i want to go to microsoft vista's launching this weekend at mall of asia. but then, the coming week would be so busy. speech + appsdev project submission + stramis reporting.

appsdev + mobicom = hell term

to clear and end the issue that reena and camille brought up, i want to say that i'm not in love nor attracted with that german. the nerve.

the issue GOT BIGGER...

an article from yahoo entertainment news:

Oprah Winfrey says in the February issue of her magazine that she cried for three days when a relative told the National Enquirer that Winfrey became pregnant at 14 and lost the baby after birth.
Winfrey already had confirmed the Enquirer's 1990 report that she got pregnant as a teenager, telling Parade magazine later that year that the baby was born prematurely and died shortly after birth. Her half-sister, Patricia Lloyd, sold the story to the tabloid, according to news reports at the time.
Winfrey, who did not name Lloyd in her column, wrote in O, The Oprah Magazine that the relative "sat in a room, told them the story of my hidden shame and left their offices $19,000 richer."
"I felt devastated. Wounded. Betrayed. How could this person do this to me?" she wrote.
Winfrey now says she learned something from what she calls "that first betrayal." Having the secret out was "liberating" and it allowed her to begin to heal from the sexual abuse she said she experienced as a girl.
She says she hasn't let more recent betrayals in her life bother her as much, although they still feel like "a kick in the gut."

oh well, oprah might have not been informed that an article was also published in newsweek, telling that she was raped. and that caught my attention. and i told it to my friends.

it's sunday. 2 more days and poof. poof.

i was about to study the api documentation of java today after having lunch at max's. but then, when lolo said they were going to greenhills, i suddenly forgot java. waaahhhh. but then i read a small part of the 44 mb documentation last saturday. we had dinner at world bangers at rockwell where i saw the ceo of abs-cbn strolling with her daughter, in plain sandals, shirts and shorts, with no bodyguard.

there were a lot of cute stuffs at zara for kids... the pants intended for kids 12+ years old could fit me.
// fashionable kid's shoes at zara: sale

at lacoste, there were also good stuffs... for lolo

// isay and gab bored while waiting for lolo

failing to meet one's expectations can make you feel guilty that you're worthless. useless. helpless. but don't worry my friend, it's just a test of how well you can cope. it's just a test of your level of maturity as a person. failing does not always mean the end. instead, it's the start of a pristine destiny.

yesterday, a secret was divulged unto me. and it was shocking. i never thought that a teledrama story could happen in real and practical life.

paula visited us today. she's friendly and okay. at least. but i saw her physical imperfections, too ;)

cHeers to 2007!
Monday, January 01, 2007//

the transition of an old year to a new one brings in a lot of new hopes and aspirations for almost all people. it gives us time to reflect on what we did for the past 365 days. from this, we promise ourselves that never shall we commit the mistakes again and we hold on to a vow of a more meaningful life.

this year, i promised a number of things that i shall be as a person and i shall accomplish as a student. i wrote them down on a piece of paper and kept it in a box. at the end of the year, i shall assess myself.

the celebration of new year overflowed with family parties here and there. of course, i never forgot to jump during 12 am on the first day of january. i celebrated outside of the house with my family and neighbors. even the bumbays had a lot of firecrackers and i saw "malik" shaking hands with my mom as he greeted a happy new year.

i promise... i promise... i promise...

7 days to go and we'll go back to dlsu.may the best of luck be with me.
