Carrie Underwood won awards for top new fermale vocalist and single record of the year at the 41st Academy of Country Music Awards, Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in Las Vegas.

it was katharine vs. taylor

kodak theatre was filled with a lot of hollywood stars as katharine and taylor sought after for the last time the most prestigious title in america. i was not satisfied with mcphee's choice of songs except for ''somewhere over the rainbow''. her would be single wasn't so nice too.
