Pretentious Definition of Poetry

Outlined on a flyleaf of a coffee cup disposition:

I am your morpheme equivalent,
the dance of midlined syllables
on your sagging follicles,
exercising intimacy with a quill,
a blade, an electrical storm
carved from a quivering lip.

I am your Helnwein, your Dali,
your personal apostle on a morphine crucifix c
hanting renditions of insanityfor the sake of rhythm
for the sake of rhyme -this is the offer I have to make.

The twentieth take
and a crumpled cave:
You pin my arms
to your vehement aches.
Your indentations feign my thoughts.

I am your ultimate sin
dressed in the burden of having words.
